LONGNIDDRY Parish Church is hosting a buffet lunch to celebrate 20 years since the Rev Dr Robin Hill was ordained at the church and Gladsmuir Church – and 20 years since Douglas Clarke became the church’s treasurer.
The lunch will be held in the Longniddry Parish Church hall at 12.30pm on Sunday.
Donations to help cover the cost of the lunch will be welcome on the day.
A special overseas guest will also make an appearance, with the Rev Tara Curlewis, the recently inducted minister at the Reformed congregation in Rome, visiting at 9.45am before heading to Gladsmuir Church at 11am. She has become the Presbytery’s overseas partner for both churches.
A spokesperson for both churches said: “It is our pleasure to have Tara with us in our acts of worship and at our lunch. We look forward to learning about what she does and how we can build up a relationship with our brothers and sisters in Rome.”
