A PRESTONPANS man who stole goods from two stores in the town will be sentenced later this month.
Alexander Stewart took a quantity of food from Scotmid on the town’s High Street on December 11 last year.
Stewart, of Grange Crescent West, also walked off with household items without paying from the nearby B&M Bargains store on the same day.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to both offences when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and sentence was deferred for reports.
