A BREAKFAST café offering Preston Lodge High School pupils a healthy start to the day is bidding for supermarket cash.
Preston Lodge Learning Foundation is looking to secure funding from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme.
The initiative provides grants of up to £1,500 to local community projects, with a particular focus on children and young people.
Preston Lodge Breakfast Café is one of the groups on the shortlist in East Lothian.
The cafe runs every morning Monday to Friday during school term, providing a range of healthy breakfast choices.
Julie Lowe, head of development at Preston Lodge Learning Foundation, said: “Our aim is to ensure all our young people have access to a healthy, nutritious breakfast and are ready for learning at the start of the school day.
“Thank you to everyone for taking the time to cast their vote in store and supporting the Preston Lodge Breakfast Cafe.”
Voting is open in all Tesco stores until the end of March.
Customers will cast their vote using a blue token given to them at the checkout when they shop.
