The soft play at The Loch Centre in Tranent will officially reopen tomorrow after being closed for repairs for more than four months.

Wiggles Soft Play was closed on September 18 last year after damage was discovered to its floor. An inspection was carried out last November and the area has now been repaired.

Issues found with the soft play were not related to the current closure of the Loch Centre pool.

The soft play will open again tomorrow with entry half price (£2.20) until March.

Rebecca Wallace, Service Manager at the Loch Centre, said, “It’s fantastic to have the soft play back open and we can’t wait to see new and familiar faces back at the Loch Centre.

“Kids will love clambering through the crawl tunnel, descending the slide, clambering over the wobble wedge floors and sneaking through the mouse holes.

“We’ll be serving a range of refreshments and have a dedicated seating area for parents.”

An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Extensive investigatory work required to be carried out to identify the original problem beneath the floor of the soft play area before appropriate repair and refurbishment works could be carried out. The re-opening of this facility will be welcome news for local families.”

Wiggles Soft Play is open Monday to Thursday 9am-6pm and Friday to Sunday 9am-4pm.
