A Casino night will raise funds to maintain community defibrillators in Musselburgh.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Musselburgh, takes place at Musselburgh Rugby Club on Friday, February 9, at 7.30pm.
The Rotary club is raising funds for life-saving defibrillators at public places in the town. The devices apply an electric charge to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat in the event of a cardiac arrest.
“It costs the Rotary club over £1,500 per year to maintain the defibrillators we have installed in the town so all funds raised help the cause,” said Drew Johnston, president of the Rotary Club of Musselburgh.
Highlighting the casino night, he said: “We play for tokens that get exchanged for raffle tickets and then we draw for prizes.”
For tickets, which cost £20, email Mr Johnston at drewjwedderburn@gmail.com or Neil Durham at mrf cbar@outlook.com or call Mr Durham on 0131 665 3435.
Supporters can also donate funds to the Rotary club.
Anyone wishing to join Rotary can email Mr Johnston.
