A LORRY driver was taken to hospital following a crash on the A1 in the early hours of yesterday (Monday) morning.
The incident, which saw the road temporarily closed, took place near Innerwick.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We received a report of a one vehicle crash involving a lorry on the A1 near Innerwick around 1.40am.
“Emergency services attended and the driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to hospital.”

The carriageway is now OPEN✅, temporary traffic lights are now in operation. 🚦
This is following earlier recovery work for a previous collision. @SETrunkRoads
Traffic Scotland announced that the road was temporarily closed at about 1.55pm yesterday to allow for the recovery of the vehicle.
The road was cleared by about 3.15pm, with temporary traffic lights put in place, before being fully reopened at about 4.20pm.
