A BID to return the body of a woman who died in a North Berwick house to her home country of Botswana has been launched.

Keotshepile Naso Isaacs was originally from the African country but had been living in Scotland.

Police and emergency services were called to a property on North Berwick’s Craigleith Avenue on New Year’s Day but the 33-year-old, known as Naso, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has since been charged with her alleged murder.

An online fundraising campaign is seeking to raise £10,000 to bring the mum-of-three 'home'.

The page, set up by Jimmah James Mokoba, reads: “Unfortunately, her life was cut short, and we are left with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss.

“As we try to come to terms with our grief, we are also faced with the difficult task of repatriating Naso’s remains to her home country, Botswana.

“This process has been challenging, both emotionally and financially.

“On behalf of her family, I am now seeking your support to help cover the expenses of Mrs Naso Isaacs's repatriation and funeral.

“We want to inform you that the proceeds of this fund will be used to cover the repatriation costs and funeral expenses of our dear Naso.

“Any remaining amount will be sent to her parents to help with the financial burden they are facing.

“Your donation will help ensure that Naso is able to return to her home country and be laid to rest with the respect and dignity she deserves.

“It will also help provide some measure of comfort to her grieving family during this difficult time.

“We are deeply grateful for any support you may be able to provide, no matter how small.

“Together, we can honour Naso’s memory and help her family find some peace and closure.

“Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

Already, the campaign has raised nearly £1,500 and attracted more than 50 donations.
