CONCERNS have been raised after the alleged behaviour of a man in Prestonpans on Christmas Day caused alarm.

The incident took place on Monday at about 9pm on High Street and Ayres Wynd.

Police Scotland confirmed that they received numerous reports about the man's behaviour but were unable to trace him.

It had been alleged that the man was found on the ground unresponsive by a passerby but soon became aggressive, before allegedly attempting to get into another vehicle that had stopped.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Monday, December 25, officers received reports concerning the behaviour of a man in the High Street area of Prestonpans.

"Officers attended the area and there was no trace of the person described.”
