A MAN has been jailed after he repeatedly breached bail conditions to stay within his home.
Steven Whyte was granted bail at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on April 24 with the requirement he stay within his Church Street home between 8pm and 7am each night.
Whyte then breached the order by failing to open his front door to police officers on June 13, June 22 and June 25, all this year.
The 33-year-old, of Haddington, appeared at the city centre court last Wednesday, where Sheriff Roderick
Flinn was told that Whyte was currently serving a community payback order for a previous offence.
Sheriff Flinn decided to revoke the order and jail Whyte for a total of 30 days as punishment for flouting the court bail regulations.
