GREEN-FINGERED Guides have planted more than a dozen trees in Dunbar.
The youngsters from Belhaven Guides planted 18 native trees in the town’s Ashfield park.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We obtained permission from East Lothian Council to do this on the understanding the Guide unit commits to looking after the trees for the next five years, so we will be arranging periodic unit meetings in the park so we can combine checking up on the trees with other Guide activities.
“We planted 18 native trees which had been supplied by the Woodland Trust and then the guides made hot chocolate on their camping stoves.”
