An 89-year-old woman has died following a car accident near Wallyford yesterday afternoon.
The one-car crash, involving a Hyundai I10, occurred at about 4.50pm on Friday between Wallyford and Whitecraig on the A6094.
The road was closed for about six hours following the incident, reopening at about 11pm.
Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital where she later died.
Officers are now appealing for information regarding the crash.
Sergeant Grant Hastie of Police Scotland said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or the vehicle prior to the crash to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
