SANTA and his sleigh are set to tour North Berwick for “one night only” tomorrow (Friday) before he returns to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.

Bass Rock Community Group, North Berwick Beach Wheelchairs and FACE (Fight Against Cancer Edinburgh) have teamed up to bring St Nick to the town.

Donations this year will go to North Berwick Harbour Trust, with a contribution to FACE.

Organisers said they hoped as many people as possible “will come out for a fun evening out”.

The route for the night is:

  • 5.30pm – Santa sets off from North Berwick Sports Centre car park;
  • 5.40pm – Gilsland Grange play park, where he stops for 10 minutes;
  • 6pm – Stevenson Walk, where he stops for 10 minutes;
  • 6.10pm – Meikleham Nook;
  • 6.15pm – Lauder Rambling;
  • 6.20pm – Heriot Riding and Pilgrims Way;
  • 6.25pm – Wotherspoon Green, where Santa stops for 10 minutes;
  • 6.35pm – Dall Hollow and Millar Gardens;
  • 6.40pm – Grange Road;
  • 6.50pm – Lochbridge Road;
  • 6.55pm – Ben Sayers Park;
  • 7.10pm – Rhodes Park loop;
  • 7.20pm – McLeod Green, where Santa will stop for 10 minutes;
  • 7.35pm – St Baldreds Road;
  • 7.40pm – Return to the sports centre car park.
