Gritters are carrying out pre-treatment of priority routes in East Lothian ahead of another night of below freezing temperatures.
East Lothian Council has warned that heavy rainfall and flooding could turn to ice leading to a slip hazard.
The council's gritters have been working on priority routes throughout the day.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Weather forecast of below freezing temperatures in parts of East Lothian overnight. Gritters are carrying out pre-treatment of priority routes this evening with further gritting continuing overnight and with day shift starting at 6am.
“The recent heavy rainfall with surface flooding and resulting water run-off from fields mean a possibility of icy patches on some roads and footways so please take extra care in the conditions and allow extra time for your journey."
