HADDINGTON woman Chloe Turner has been placed on a supervision order after she admitted causing vehicles to swerve to avoid her as she walked in the middle of a busy road.
Turner, of Herdmanflatt, was spotted culpably and recklessly wandering along the A199 road on the outskirts of Haddington on April 12 this year.
Motorists were said to have been forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with the 27-year-old as she gesticulated towards them.
Turner pleaded guilty to the offence during an appearance at the capital’s sheriff court last month.
She returned to the dock for sentencing last week where Sheriff Kenneth McGowan placed her under the supervision of the social work team for the next 12 months.
Turner admitted to culpably and recklessly walking in the road at the A199 and gesticulating to motorists causing them to take evasive action to avoid striking her, all to the danger of the lieges, on April 12 this year.
