CLASSICAL music returns to North Berwick on Saturday thanks to Opera East Lothian (OEL).
The group’s ‘Classical Prom’ features the music of Verdi, Sibelius and Rameau, along with movie scores and a Scottish finale.
OEL will also be joined by musicians from the orchestras of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet.
The charter of OEL is to perform classical choral music, mixing keen amateurs and professional musicians.
Jessica Davidson, chair of OEL, said: “The beauty of the chorus lies in friendship and a joining of voices; our rehearsals can be exacting, but that is the point.
“Our key purpose is to provide a performance for our wonderful audience, one they can reflect on, and be moved by. We will deliver something they can listen to with enjoyment – whatever that means to each individual.”
