A 79-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital following a crash on a busy road in Haddington.

Emergency services were called out to the town’s West Road this afternoon (Thursday).

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed they were in attendance.

They said: “We were called around 2.40pm on Thursday to a report of a two vehicle crash on West Road in Haddington.

“Emergency services attended and one of the drivers, a 79-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

“The occupants of the other vehicle were checked at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“The was partially blocked for vehicle recovery.”
