PLUMMETING temperatures this evening (Sunday) has led to the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for ice.
Icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths are predicted for this evening (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday) morning.
The weather warning is in place from 9pm to 9am.
The Met Office has issued four tips for keeping safe during the cold weather.
Anyone who has to drive somewhere is urged to check wipers, tyres and screen wash, as well as taking a fully charged mobile phone.

Motorists are also urged to look well ahead for potential hazards and to keep their speed down.
Anyone walking or cycling is advised to leave earlier to avoid rushing and to reduce the risk of accidents, slips or falls.
Finally, during the icy and cold weather people are urged to look out for elderly relatives or neighbours.
