TWO swans have been killed after being attacked by a dog at Belhaven Bay.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident after they were called out yesterday (Monday) morning.
The swans died as a result of the attack, which took place at about 9.55am.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or the owner of a large dark coloured pointer-type dog to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “It is believed that the dog may have been out of sight of the owner/walker at the time of this incident.
“Anyone with any information is urged to call police on 101 and quote incident number: PS-20231009-0836.”
