SPECIAL Sunday services are being held at a Haddington church to mark specific occasions. St Mary’s Parish Church usually has a 9.30am family service on Sundays followed by a more traditional 11am service.
But this Sunday, it is hosting a single 11am service for Harvest Thanksgiving. Other occasions to be marked with a single Sunday service include the 50th anniversary of the church’s restoration, as well as Christmas and Candlemas.
A spokesperson for the Haddington church said: “The kirk session has agreed to the introduction of a single service on a nearly monthly basis.”
Sunday’s service will be followed by soup and apple crumble, tea and coffee.
