The swimming pool at the Mercat Gait Centre
The swimming pool at the Mercat Gait Centre in Prestonpans has been forced to close until tomorrow following an "incident in the pool".
The incident took place this morning, with officials confirming that the pool will stay closed for the remainder of the day.
The pool will reopen tomorrow as normal. No other facilities are affected by the closure.
A spokesperson said: "Due to an incident in the pool this morning, we've had to close public access for the remainder of today, 21/09/23.
"Pool service will resume tomorrow, 22/09/23, as normal.
"All other facilities are unaffected. We apologise for the inconvenience."
