Dirleton residents have complained of no water from their taps this afternoon, with Scottish Water stating that operatives are on their way to “carry out investigations”.

Scottish Water were informed of the issue in Dirleton just before 1pm today.

Residents have claimed they have no water coming from taps, or are experiencing water flow issues.

A Scottish Water Spokesperson said; “We were first notified of an interruption to customers supplies in EH39 area of Dirleton just before 1pm this afternoon and we have operatives on their way to the area to carry out investigations.

“We will update our website and social media channels as soon as we have more information.”

The spokesperson said investigations were at an early stage and more details on impacted areas will be uncovered durin the investigation.
