Around 200 visitors flocked to what is thought to have been Musselburgh's first Open Studio Weekend.
Local artists threw open the doors to their homes, businesses, the local art club studios and a church hall.
Members of the public were recently welcomed to view a variety of artwork.
Organiser Alistair Samuel McIntyre, of Mayfield Crescent, who is known as Specky Al in his artwork, said the event would be repeated in 2024 following its success this year.
"All the feedback from the artists was really positive," he said.
He explained: "We may have a small fee next year for participating artists but we will keep this as low as possible. It was a delight to hear the excitement from the artists afterwards - real reward in itself."
He said almost every venue had sales of artwork.
