A chance to meet ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’ and take in internationally acclaimed Highland dancing is coming to Prestonpans next Sunday (August 20).
The event, ‘Raising the Standard’, will be at the Battle of Prestonpans Jacobite Museum in the town hall.
Katharine Robinson School of Highland Dancing, from Ottawa, in Canada, will put on a special performance.
The event is to commemorate the raising of the standard on August 19, 1745, which signalled the beginning of the Jacobite rising.
At the event, visitors will get a chance to hear the history of that day and meet Bonnie Prince Charlie himself.
Entry is free and the event takes place between 12pm and 1.30pm.
All are welcome to attend.
