DOGHAILES is back at Newhailes House and Gardens in Musselburgh on July 30.

Owners can enjoy some family time together and take their four-legged friends along to the event, which will feature fun competitions, shopping, food and drink, and have-a-go activities for dogs, 10am-4pm.

Claire Grant, National Trust for Scotland operations manager at Newhailes House, said: “We’re really excited to welcome our four-legged, furry friends back to Doghailes on July 30 for an action-packed family fun day at Newhailes House.

“With a host of fun competitions and a list of categories for K9 companions to enter, including waggiest tail and precious pup, shopping, food and drink, and a variety of activities to take part in, it promises to be a great day out for all the family.

Competition categories also include: most appealing eyes; scruffiest dog; golden oldie aged eight and over; best rescue; shiniest coat; and best fancy dress.
