TRANENT’S annual civic week draws to a close this weekend after a week of fun.
There is a gala quiz this evening (Thursday) at 7.30pm in East Lothian Co-operative Bowling Club. Centre Stage’s performance of A Night at the Movies is on this evening and tomorrow (Friday) at 7.15pm in the Loch Centre.
The last of the under-13s’ football tournaments, hosted by Tranent Colts, is at Foresters Park this evening at 7pm, before a parents’ and coaches’ tournament tomorrow at 6pm.
Tranent Library enjoys a teddy bears’ picnic on Saturday (11am), while the fancy dress competition takes place at Caponhall Road (5pm).
A grand parade through the town from Caponhall Road to Loch Road is at 6pm on Saturday to close the gala. See centre pages for pictures from Sunday’s gala day.
