A residential street in Gullane will be subject to eight weeks of upgrade works from today as new pavements and street lighting is installed.

Marine Road, a residential street that leads towards Marine Terrace and the entrance to Gullane Bents, will be closed in six stages over the next eight weeks as the upgrades take place.

In the first phase new street lamps will be installed alongside the associated cabling and ducting works.

This will result in two closures, between the junctions of Goose Green Road and Erskine Road and from Marine Terrace to Erskine Road with access maintained for residents.

Phases two to six will see the upgrade of the pavements and footways.
