TWO East Lothian businesses are celebrating after scooping prizes at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce awards.

The Premium Bakery, based in Prestonpans, and East Links Family Park, near West Barns, were both toasting success at the awards last month.

A glittering ceremony took place at Eskmills Venue in Musselburgh, with nearly 250 people attending.

Karen Ritchie, chief executive of the business group, congratulated the various winners.

The Best Environmental Impact award went to The Premium Bakery, while East Links Family Park, which toasted its 21st birthday in February, picked up the Best Family Business prize.

The chief executive said: “It was fantastic to be able to honour winners and finalists from across the regions, representing a wide range of sectors and industries.

“Despite some really challenging trading conditions, it was incredibly encouraging to see so many positive applications from business from across the regions.”
