A MOTORIST allegedly driving at double the speed limit was stopped by police on the A1 last night (Wednesday).
Police Scotland highlighted the incident on social media and noted the driver was reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
The post reads: “This Ford Fiesta was followed by #DunbarRP [Dunbar Roads Policing] last night at speeds up to and including 80mph through 40mph road works on the A1 near Tranent, East Lothian.
“Stopped and found to have two defective tyres and the rear silencer was missing.”
