Two EV chargers at the Pennypit Centre have been vandalised
TWO electric vehicle charging units in Prestonpans are out of use after they were vandalised over the weekend.
The incident took place at the Pennypit Centre on Sunday, with two EV units having their screens smashed.
East Lothian Council has confirmed it is aware of the damage.
A council spokesperson said: “We’re arranging an inspection of the location to determine the extent of damage and to establish what action might be required.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are at an early stage and anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0817 of Monday, April 17.”
