A well-used route to West Barns Primary School is to close for about four weeks.

Carriageway resurfacing work is set to begin on School Brae, in West Barns, from Monday for approximately four weeks.

The work will be split into two phases.

Phase one will see the road closed from its junction with Edinburgh Road (A1087) to Stenton Road. This work is expected to last 10 working days.

No access will be available to Springfield or Forth View from School Brae.

Diversion signs will be in place.

Phase two of the work is set to begin on May 1 and will see the road closed from its junction with School Brae at No.20 to the 60mph signs over the railway bridge.

This is expected to last a further 12 working days.

Refuse and recycling collections will be collected as normal.
