AN AWARD-WINNING visitor experience has been praised by an MSP during a tour.

NB Gin has picked up a host of accolades since it was launched in 2013.

The distillery is based at Halfland Barns, to the south of North Berwick, and Craig Hoy, South Scotland MSP, was impressed with the five-star VisitScotland attraction.

The convener of the Cross Party Group on Beer and Pubs in the Scottish Parliament said: “NB Gin has a premium gin offering at an affordable price range, which is distilled and bottled right here in East Lothian – supporting local jobs and tourism.”

NB Gin has won a swathe of awards, including the 2022 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award, while the original NB Gin was recognised as the World’s Best London Dry Gin at the World Drinks Awards in 2015 and received a gold award in the Navy Strength category of the 2017 Gin Masters.

The eco-distillery includes a Cellar Door Shop open from Wednesday to Friday, 10am-4pm, where customers can bring their empty bottle for a refill and they offer tours of its distillery room and a relaxing venue space for their gin-tasting experience.

Jenny Martin, customer relations manager for the business, said: “We are very proud of our products and the visitor experience we provide.

“As well as our world-class spirits, we are a five-star tourist attraction helping to promote East Lothian and the best of Scottish gin.”
