Tyneholm Stables Care Home in Pencaitland has been named amongst the top 20 care homes in Scotland by review site carehome.co.uk

The care home, located on Huntlaw Road in Pencaitland, is run by Sanctuary Care and has made the list for the second year in a row.

The awards are based on reviews of the care home written by the residents experiencing the care, as well as their friends and relatives, with thousands of homes battling it out to make it into the top 20.

On the site, Tyneholm Stables has received 27 reviews. 22 reviewers gave the home a five star rating out of five, with the other five reviews giving it four stars out of five.

One review said: “The staff are friendly, caring and attentive. My mother always looks well cared for and happy. There are always lots of photos of what the residents have been up to. The staff make this care home a great place to live.”
