MORE than 40 homes on the outskirts of Haddington have been given the go ahead.
Planning permission is already in place for more than 800 homes within Letham Mains, on the town’s western edge.
Now, Taylor Wimpey has been given the green light to build 43 of those homes.
The development, which is a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom properties, is built to the south of the site, off Pencaitland Road.
Nineteen of the properties will be detached, six will be semi-detached and three rows of four houses and two rows of three houses.
East Lothian Council’s planning department approved the proposals after there were no objections from members of the public.
