A road closure will be in place along the B6371 at Ormiston Road just outside of Tranent from Monday (January 9) until Friday (January 13).

The closure will be in place from the road’s junction with Waterloo Road southwards to its junction with the C71 for a distance of about 850m.

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on the road.

The closure is in place from 9am to 4pm from Monday January 9 until Friday January 13.

A lengthy diversion will be in place along the A6093 and B6355.

This restriction does not apply to emergency services and construction vehicles associated with the works.

Local access for residents and waste services will be maintained but the direction for access will need to be from either side of the works depending on the position of the patch being undertaken at that time.

Refuse and recycling collections will be collected as normal, however residents are asked to ensure bins and boxes are out for 7am on collection days.
