COCKENZIE House and Gardens is to host a new wellness event to help showcase what East Lothian has to offer.

East Lothian Wellness Gathering will be focused on mental health awareness, how to look after our own wellbeing and some helpful self-care tips.

There will also be a variety of mental health support charities in attendance at the event to offer advice, give talks, and share tips for supporting wellbeing.

Jemma Davidson, event organiser, said: “We want this event to be a safe space for people to come and connect with others, have a little pamper and treat themselves.

“This is a cause close to my heart and I can’t wait for those attending this event to be able to listen to positive wellbeing talks, get advice and come away from this event feeling listened to and to know they are not alone.

“It has been great to collaborate with Cockenzie House and Gardens on this event as they share the same passion and enthusiasm for wellness that I do and have been so accommodating and helpful.”

The event will also have a selection of stallholders providing natural skincare products, wellbeing themed books and journals, essential oils and information on all the latest wellness therapy practises.

There will be some fun wellness themed activities and a raffle with some amazing and donated prizes.

A spokesperson for Cockenzie House and Gardens said: “Isn’t it amazing to have something like this really lovely, relaxing event to look forward to?

“It’s going to be a long winter and we are going to need plenty of pampering in January.

“Cockenzie House and Gardens are so proud to be supporting this.”

The event takes place on Saturday, January 28, from 11am until 3pm, and will be based downstairs from Cafe Filly in the Willow Room at Cockenzie House.

Entry is free but donations are welcomed and will go towards Ukrainian aid charity Sunflower Scotland.
