PRESTON Lodge High School has welcomed back its Christmas concert for the first time in three years in front of a packed audience.

The concert took place last week and saw PLers young and old join together with some local primary pupils for some festive cheer.

Musical items took in a wide variety of Christmas-themed tunes, including stirring performances by the S1/2 choir and pipe bands.

More than 300 people packed into the assembly hall to see 150 pupils performing in front of an inclusive audience of friends and family of the school.

Gavin Clark, Preston Lodge High School headteacher, said: “I’d like to thank our students, staff, families and friends for all they have done this year to make Preston Lodge such a great place to be.

“We are lucky to have such a strong community and we look forward to 2023 with confidence.

“I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!”
