ST GABRIEL'S RC Primary School in Prestonpans put on a memorable performance of its school nativity ‘Hey Ewe’ last week.

Telling the Christmas story, P1-3 pupils took on key roles such as Mary, Joseph and the angels.

Primary one children took on most of the leading roles, with primary two and three pupils providing back-up singing and narration.

Alex Buchanan, headteacher, said: “I am very proud of our primary one, two and three children. They all gave 100 per cent in their performance and really shone on the night.

“The school hall was packed and all the parents were delighted to be able to see their children’s performance.

“This is the first time in two years we have been able to have a live performance and the children made it one to remember.

“A fantastic performance, beautifully presented by all the children from primary one to primary three.”
