Tranent Medical Practice has said it will only be able to deal with medical emergencies due to a shortage of staff.
The medical practice announced on Facebook that due to a limited number of GP's being available that only those suffering from a medical emergency should visit the practice today.
The practice said: “If you have an issue which isn't medically urgent, we ask that you call us on Monday 19th December instead of today.
“We thank our patients for their co-operation during today, and apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”
