A COUNTY motorist was allegedly found to be nearly five times the legal drink-drive limit after a two-vehicle crash in Haddington.
The incident occurred yesterday (Monday) on Newton Port.
Officers breath-tested one of the drivers, who allegedly gave a reading of 105 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, nearly five times the legal limit of 22 micrograms.
The 49-year-old woman was charged with a road traffic offence and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on Newton Port in Haddington around 5pm on Monday, December 12.
"No one was injured.
"A 49-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
