FROSTY the Snowman is helping to raise money for a team of life-saving volunteers.
Julie Watt, owner of The Tipsy Truffle on Dunbar High Street, came up with a sweet idea to boost the town’s RNLI.
She is raffling off a two-kilogramme chocolate snowman to raise money for the good cause.
She said: “I spent a lot of time in Dunbar when I was younger.
“My dad had a little boat that he made himself.
“We were aware when he was out fishing in the boat that the RNLI were a really important part of the safety measures round the Dunbar area.
“They were an organisation I thought about when I wanted to do a fundraiser.”
Raffle tickets are now for sale at £1 per ticket, with the draw taking place on December 21.
The 18-inch-tall snowman, who has fittingly been named Frosty, will be won by a lucky customer and the proceeds then donated to Dunbar RNLI.
Julie opened the business in May after transforming the former TSB premises from a bank into a chocolate shop.
She said: “The RNLI have been really happy about [the fundraiser].
“I spoke to Veronica Davies [Dunbar RNLI fundraising chairwoman] and the RNLI were more than happy to support it.”
