TICKETS are now on sale for Scotland’s top golf event, which will once again be played in East Lothian.

More than 68,000 people attended the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, near Dirleton, in July.

The DP World Tour and PGA Tour confirmed in August that the event would be remaining in the county until at least 2026.

Now, tickets are on sale for the four-day tournament, which will be played from July 13-16.

Last season was the start of a new era for the historic event, as it was co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour for the first time, bringing together a world-class field from both sides of the Atlantic.

Fourteen of the top 15 players in the world took part and it was Xander Schauffele who continued his imperious form throughout 2022 as he won his third event in the space of three worldwide starts.

The reigning Olympic champion finished one stroke clear of fellow American Kurt Kitayama at The Renaissance Club, which was hosting the competition for the fourth successive year, to seal his first Rolex Series victory.

A spokesperson for the DP World Tour said: “Fans are encouraged to buy early to avoid disappointment.

“The Rolex Series event saw a 12 per cent increase in ticket sales from 2019 and premium hospitality packages for all four days sold out well in advance.”
