COUNTY residents can catch up on the unforgettable hits of music and film legend Doris Day as part of an array of forthcoming entertainment at The Brunton in Musselburgh in the coming week.

Award-winning singer Lynda Radford and singer Brad Pepper will present ‘A Day to Remember: The Doris Day Centenary Song Book’ tonight (Thursday) at the venue at 7.30pm.

This special centenary production includes 25 of her hits including Secret Love, Que Sera Sera, Windy City, Pillow Talk and Deadwood Stage.

Molly and Bingo are having a birthday party tomorrow (Friday) in The People’s Theatre’s ‘I Spy with My Little Eye’ at 2pm.

There will be a treasure hunt, singalong songs and lots of games to play including Molly’s favourite game, I Spy With My Little Eye! Based on the brand new picture book by Steven Lee, this interactive musical celebrates everything great about being a child and is recommended for ages two plus.

Cutting Edge Theatre’s ‘Downs with Love’ this Saturday at 7.30pm is an important and compelling drama that tells the story of Beth, a young woman who has Down’s Syndrome. She lives a very independent life, has her routines and lives simply but happily. Yet when the opportunity for romance arises, questions about Beth’s place in society arise.

In ‘Ticket to Paradise’ (12A) on Wednesday at 7.30pm, two divorced parents, played by George Clooney and Julia Roberts, travel to Bali after learning their daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Denver), is planning to marry a local, Gede, whom she has just met. They decide to work together to sabotage the wedding in order to prevent Lily from making the same mistake they made 25 years ago.

Emilia Clarke, of Game of Thrones, makes her West End debut in National Theatre Live’s ‘The Seagull’ on Thursday, November 3, at 7pm – a 21st century retelling of Anton Chekhov’s tale of love and loneliness.
