AN INITIATIVE that brings generations together round the dinner table has been recognised with an award.
Dinner at DGS (Dunbar Grammar School) brings together schoolchildren and older members of the community.
Pupils cook, prepare and serve a home-cooked meal, then sit down to enjoy it with their guests.
Dishes range from vegetarian curry and lasagne to soups, stews and traybakes and cakes.
Elaine O’Brien, president of Dunbar Rotary Club, handed over a service recognition award to Kirsty McLuckie, pupil support worker at the school, last week.
The project is supported each week by Rotary members.
