A “SMALL parcel” of land to the rear of a restaurant could become home to a new house.
Plans have been submitted to East Lothian Council for a two-bedroom bungalow behind The Castle Inn in Dirleton.
Robin Stewart’s proposals would see the area of scrubland transformed to include a new property.
A design statement included with the application states the house would be “a quality residential dwelling space within the boundaries of the present site with marginal disruption to the surrounding areas and property whilst maintaining and recognising the characteristic design of the local architecture”.
Drawings included with the plans show a ground-floor bedroom, plus a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom created in the roof space.
