WILSON'S Fresh Farm Produce will close the doors of its Musselburgh High Street shop tomorrow (Saturday) after 17 years’ trading.
Owners Neil and Nicci Wilson decided to call it a day, saying price increases, rates and general costs have “caught up on the shop”.
Their North Berwick outlet will continue to trade as normal, deliveries will continue and they are keen to provide a mobile greengrocer service.
The couple said via social media: “The time has come for us to finally close our doors at Musselburgh – our last day of trading will be Saturday 27th August.
“Thank you all so much for your words of support and encouragement since we announced our plans to close – we very much appreciate it! This has not been an easy or ‘overnight’ decision!
“We will continue to deliver around Musselburgh and the rest of East Lothian, Midlothian and Edinburgh, and we are actively looking for a suitable vehicle to create a mobile greengrocer to continue to provide you with the fresh produce you have come to enjoy.”
