POLICE Scotland is currently recruiting youth volunteers to become part of the team in East Lothian.

Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) is a group set up to help young people get involved with the community while developing new skills and taking part in local and national events.

Volunteers will also get the chance to learn more about policing, gaining an understanding of the work and dedication the service provides.

Youth volunteers can join on or after their 13th birthday, remaining a member until they are 18.

Young people are not eligible to join PSYV after their 16th birthday.

Police Scotland is also on the lookout for adult volunteers.

Those aged 18 or over can apply, with multiple roles available.
