A FEMALE paddleboarder was rescued by lifeboat volunteers last Sunday, July 24.
The paddleboarder had got into difficulty at Belhaven and was in danger of being blown out to sea.
Dunbar’s RNLI inshore lifeboat crew was called out just after 4pm.
They helped the woman onto the boat and took her back to shore.
Alan Blair, ILB helm, urged people to know their limits and to make sure they had a buoyancy aid and a means of calling for help.
He added: “Please also wear an ankle strap so you don’t lose your board if you do end up in the water.”
