A section of the A1 in East Lothian will be subject to temporary traffic lights for a month and a half while improvements are made to the pedestrian footway.
The section at Thorntonloch will see the temporary lights installed on August 15 and remain in place until September 30.
The 1,000m stretch is between No 11 Thorntonloch Holdings and the junction with Thornton and Crowhill.
While the new footway is being installed, an alternative route for pedestrians will be in place.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s south east network manager, said: “These footway improvements will enhance safety and ease of access for pedestrians using this section of the A1.”
