Bobby Colgan to be celebrated in Macmerry later this year
A TALENTED and well-missed musician from Tranent will be remembered in a celebratory evening of music in Macmerry later this year.
Bobby Colgan, drummer to the Jimmy Shand and Jim Johnstone bands, was born in Tranent in 1937 and passed away at the age of 83 in May 2020.
On September 11, an evening titled Memories of Bobby Colgan will take place at Macmerry Miners Club from 2pm, compered by George McNeill and Grahame Munro, with guest artist Duncan Black.
Entry costs £5.
