A POLICE investigation has been launched after a lollipop man was allegedly struck by a vehicle in Haddington.

The man was carrying out his duties on the town’s Station Road and suffered minor injuries in the alleged incident.

A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said: “I can advise that an incident involving one of our crossing patrol guides occurred on April 29 and reported to the police and is currently under investigation.

“It would therefore be inappropriate at the stage to comment further.”
